• Some purchases are tax deductible, but it depends on why you made the purchase
• You can’t deduct expenses you have already been reimbursed for

With COVID forcing most of us to work from our homes for the first time, this guide is for anyone navigating which WFH expenses they should track

The short version:

• Most purchases you make for you home office setup is not tax deductible due to legislation passed in 2017 that has yet to be reversed (as of the time we published this article). There are a few exceptions
• You’re better off getting your money back from your company than from the government
